Description

There is some slight yellowing to some of the white areas on and around the hem

The sleeves are left unlined so you get a pretty contrast in fabric weight

It has a simple hook closure allowing you to style it front or back and wear it sitting on the shoulders or down the front as a full bib necklace

I believe this is a version of the dress she named the 'Non-Chalance' that I found a sketch of from the permanent collection of the Hunt Museum in Ireland and I found a similar gown that is held in the collection of the Irish Linen Centre & Lisburn Museum

Dreamy Spring 1984 Lanvin by Jules-Francois Crahay Runway Red Linen & Black Dress w Open Bow Back z-archive-blues There is some slight yellowingI just had the near twin of the dress in the shop a couple of months ago and I am very pleased to find this version so quickly. It is a stunning dress and shows the softer, more romantic side of Lanvin from this time period. This was designed by Jules Francois Crahay, who headed the Lanvin ateliers from 1964 1984. In the book Lanvin by Rizzoli, there is a lovely forward from Alber Elbaz, that noted that the Spring 1984 was Crahay's last RTW collection
