Cautiousness - Kurt Deruyter Lara Gasparotto gemaakt door de kunstenaarThe photo comes from the 'Siyaha' project, a meditative visualization of the spiritual journey that a Brussels Muslim woman undertook in search of a better understanding of her religion, Islam. A journey that eventually led her to Sufism. She visited Spain, Morocco, Turkey, Senegal and Uzbekistan, countries that have an important Sufi tradition. Kurt followed her on this spiritual journey and made a photographic 'record' of her spiritual quest. Siyaha
