Description

It's modelled in 56z gold (the Russian standard that equates to roughly 14 karat) and is of exceptionally high quality: the detailing to the head

and equally lacking in any historical evidence

set at opposing orientations and joined together so bottoms dangle freely

and there's a split in the wood just above the eye hole

WW2 Free France Cross of Lorraine Ring Size:4.75 It's modelled in 56z goldDATE: WW2, c. 1940 An unusual silver and rose gold ring dating from the 1940s. The emblem on the front and shoulders is the Cross of Lorraine, in the case of this ring it represents Free France, the WW2 government in exile led by Charles de Gaulle in resistance to the Axis powers following the fall of France. Although fashioned in precious metals it's quite crudely done, and isn't hallmarked, suggesting is was hand made outside a jewellery workshop
