Gary Guthman composer, jazz musician, trumpet player originally from Portland Oregon, Gary Guthman began his career with the Stan Kenton Jazz Summer Band Camp series, was a winner of the US National Championship for Bands, and studied composition at Portland State University as well as composition, arranging, and orchestration techniques under the tutelage of Henry Mancini and Don Costa (arranger for Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughan, and Tony Bennett).
