The Beguiled Condition:New which measured over 1Offbeat, entrancing drama, set near the end of the Civil War, stars Clint Eastwood as wounded Union soldier Corporal John McBurney in Louisiana, who is found by a girl and taken to a remote boarding school for young ladies to recuperate. McBurney's presence stirs up romantic feelings and jealousies and leads the headmistress (Geraldine Page) to take drastic measures to "protect" her charges.
